Dr. Brown appointed as Chief Executive of Ghana's Forestry Commission

Published on Feb, Mon, 2025

Form Ghana Limited, a reforestation company developing timber plantations in the Ashanti and Bono regions, commends the government for appointing Dr. Brown as Chief Executive of Ghana's Forestry Commission.

The global agroforestry sector faces significant threats from climate change, which African countries like Ghana are committed to mitigating, particularly for the livelihoods, food security and employment of their rural communities.

We have known and worked with Dr. Brown since 2009. We welcome the appointment of Dr. Brown to lead the Forestry Commission and safeguard and develop Ghana's natural resources.

This will not be an easy task as it is a complex sector. However, we are confident that Dr. Brown, with his knowledge and passion for the forestry industry, will achieve the vision of the Forestry Commission. His leadership will positively impact investor confidence in growing the sector, creating employment, and developing local rural economies.

Form Ghana's Board members and staff congratulate Dr. Brown on his appointment. We know he will make it a great success for the benefit of all.
