Form Ghana Ltd. is a forest plantation management company in central Ghana. It is focused on reforesting degraded Forest Reserves while conserving and restoring indigenous and riparian forestry areas.

Established in 2007, the company is a subsidiary of Sustainable Forestry Investments BV in The Netherlands.

FORM Ghana and the Ghana Forestry Commission made history by developing and signing the first public-private partnership (PPP) forest management lease agreement. It has paved the way for other reforestation companies to follow suit.

Sustainability

The company works in a socially, ecologically and operationally responsible way. The Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (License number FSC-C044035) awarded Form Ghana its first certificate for Sustainable Forest Management in 2010. The achievement has been repeated every year, and in 2023 we are proud to announce that the FSCTM (License number FSC-C044035) has reconfirmed our sustainable forest management practices.

Form Ghana's reforestation activities are also independently validated under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The validation confirms the company’s climate change mitigation contributions are available to trade as carbon credits.

Social & Economic Development

"In the past, farmers used to plant of cocoa trees in this area"

Because of fire outbreaks farmers stopped planting trees. Instead they put more effort in maize farms. Because of the fire project I do not need to worry. When something happens, I can count on the assistance of the Fire Squad.”

Abigail, nurse at Form Ghana Berekum

"Form Ghana sets an example for me as a chief"

Amongst my community members I now promote the planting of trees, as long-term investment. This will give farmers additional income.
