Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated, disciplined, and professionally presented individual to fill the Driver position at our Head Office. The successful candidate will play a key supporting role in our day-to-day operations, providing safe, reliable, and professional transport for management, staff, and visiting local and expatriate personnel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, in strict compliance with road traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any faults or defects to the relevant supervisor.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and general upkeep of assigned vehicles to a high standard at all times.
  • Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and support the mechanical team with minor equipment-related tasks as needed.
  • Professionally transport staff, expatriate visitors, and authorised personnel, ensuring their comfort, safety, and punctuality at all times.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, trip records, and fuel usage reports in accordance with company procedures.

Job Essentials

  • Possess a valid Driver’s Licence (Class C).
  • Minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good eyesight and depth perception.
  • Must be dependable and responsible.
  • Must have a valid NHIS Card and Ghana Card.
  • Must have a valid SSNIT Number.
  • Must be a resident in Sunyani
  • Previous driving experience, preferably in a field or plantation setting, will be an advantage.

 Key competencies

  • Safe, defensive, and responsible driving, with sound knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and navigation.
  • Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections, identify faults, and perform routine maintenance checks.
  • Strong time management, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
  • Good decision-making, alertness, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to follow instructions, company procedures, and maintain accurate trip and vehicle records.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
  • High level of discipline, integrity, and professional conduct.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
