World Wetlands Day

Published on Feb, Sun, 2025

This year’s theme centres around two key concepts: our unity and our future. By valuing and protecting Ghana's biodiverse ecosystems – and inspiring action on their behalf - we can safeguard our common future and wellbeing. Wetlands are vital ecosystems that provide essential services such as water filtration, flood control, and carbon storage, helping to combat climate change and protect biodiversity.

Form Ghana's staff work with our neighbouring communities to conserve and restore indigenous buffer zones along waterways, establishing ecosystems and enhancing biodiversity to regenerate the soil and water quality for people and the planet.
