Form Ghana is a Forest Plantation Company that started operating in 2007 and is now managing 20,000 hectares of land with 12,000 plus hectares reforested with teak and indigenous tree plantations and nature conservation areas. The company needs an innovative, intelligent and proactive Health Nurse to join Form Ghana team and add value to employee health and safety management.

Job Title:  Company Nurse

Job Location: Akumadan, Ashanti Region

Job Summary: To provide strategies and an active role in managing the site clinic and delivering quality health care in Form Ghana Limited

Job Description:

1. Manage site clinics appropriately and deliver quality healthcare
2. Accompany employees who are injured or ill to the health facility for further treatment
3. Conduct introduction of medicals for new employees/ conduct medical examination for new employees
4. Conduct first aid training for first aiders and general employees
5. Responsible for regularly recording treatment of illness and injuries from the clinic and first aiders register into the health and accident systems and report at the end of the month
6. Conduct training on health-related issues and assess the impact
7. Evaluate nursing care and ensure improved continuity of quality care delivery
8. Liaise with health authorities together with Health and safety officer to ensure better health management of employees
9. Advice on the promotion of health and prevention of illness and training employees
10. Supervise and develop Health Care Assistant
11. Responsible for the protection and keeping employees treated information confidential
12. Request for drugs and other essentials to stock the clinic
13. Attend and contribute the end of month H&S meetings
14. Maintain effective communication with H&S Officer and Plantation Manager and discuss illness and injuries recorded and come out with preventive actions
15. Conduct audit in the clinic every quarter and report to the H&S Officer
16. Adhere to the H&S policies in the company
17. Perform any other health and safety functional roles as needed
18. Submit accurate monthly written report to the Health and Safey Officer

Eligibility:

• Tertiary qualification / Diploma or degree in Nursing and registered as a nurse
• At least Five (5) years or more working experience in practising nursing
• Knowlegable in Ghana Health Service guidelines
• Must have knowledge of Basic Life Support, Risk Assessement, Health and Safety and understanding of quality assurance issues
• Must have valid National Health Insurance Card or related
