Job Summary: The role involves providing support to the Human Resources (HR) Officers in various responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
To assist the HR Officer in all HR duties and other related activities listed below and not exhaustive.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end process for hiring general employees, from recruitment monitoring to facilitating onboarding and managing offboarding procedures.
- Training, Development, and Performance: Support staff training and development initiatives, evaluating their impact, and assisting in the preparation and administration of performance appraisals.
- Attendance, Leave, and Complaints: Manage the employee attendance register, leave schedule, and assist in addressing employee complaints in collaboration with the HR Officer.
- Employee Information and Contracts: Maintain accurate employee data, including status changes, NHIS database, and labor regulations. Prepare employment contracts for both permanent and short-term general workers.
- Communication, Meetings, and Reporting: Facilitate employee representative meetings, promote effective communication, and provide accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reports to the HR Officer.
- Industrial Attachments: Manage student industrial attachments, internships, and volunteering programs.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other HR functional roles as required, ensuring confidentiality in maintaining HR files and overseeing the Form Ghana Ladies Club management.
- Maintain confidentiality and correct/true HR Files at sites and HQ, Sunyani
- Assist in Proactive Health and Safety Management: Identify trends and recommend proactive actions to the Health and Safety Officer, including analyzing data, conducting training, investigating complaints, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- To assist in Health and Safety Comprehensive Program Implementation: Design and implement workplace processes, procedures, and collaborative initiatives such as MoU management, first aid kit inspections, external liaison for health practices, and reporting systems to ensure compliance, monitor performance, and maintain healthy and safe workplace culture.
- Submit accurate monthly and quarterly written reports to the Human Resources Officer
Eligibility:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
- Professional Membership in any related discipline is an added advantage.
- At least Three (3) years or more working experience in an HR management role, preferably in the Forestry, Agriculture, and Manufacturing Industry
- Knowledgeable in Ghana labour laws and regulations
- Must have a National Service Certificate
- Must have a valid National Health Insurance Card
