Job Summary: To provide vibrant strategies and an active role in financial management and development in Form Ghana Limited

Job Description:

  • Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Accounting:
  1. Prepare and coordinate company financial reporting and budget management functions (IFRS) to management, lenders, board of directors or shareholders
  2. Review and update commercial and financial risk and mitigations
  3. Monitor and analyze the monthly operating results against the annual budget providing guidance to the management team if corrective actions are necessary
  4. Manage the preparation of Form Ghana audited financial statements, and oversee all other statutory reporting requirements
  • Governance, Tax, and Compliance
  1. Manage the preparation of all corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations
  2. Accountable for the performance of the business-based responsibilities to ensure that the company receives the most favorable tax treatment available within the law and the appropriate cash management, borrowings, and debt obligations compliance.
  3. Assist in the organization of all Board meetings as may be required within the area of competence.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:
  1. Frequent contact and direct reporting line to Form Ghana Ltd Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide progress updates, resolve issues and receive higher approval where necessary.
  2. Act as the principal point of contact with external parties, as directed by the Form Ghana Ltd CEO.
  3. Manage various facility agreements with international lenders and maintain relationships with the lenders and facility agent.
  4. Oversee daily operations of Form Ghana Ltd finance and admin department
  • Internal (Processes, Audits, Regulatory) :
  1. Conduct internal audits
  2. Ensure that all accounting policies, procedures, and control systems necessary to ensure accurate and timely business performance reporting will be maintained.
  3. Ensure IFRS compliance and remediation of any internal audit findings in the business.
  • Strategic Orientation & Leadership:
  1. Continually raise performance standards and support training and development of subordinates.
  2. Provide leadership across the full Form Ghana team and coordination of Form Ghana financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions, as well as warehousing & inventory.
  3. The CFO will ensure that all investments meet the required standards
  4. Management and supervision of the inventory, including Authorization & Approvals
  5. Actively contribute to the development and implementation of established HNH programs and procedures

Essentials:

  1. Master’s degree in accounting/finance, MBA (with specialization in finance and accounting) from a reputable university; and fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAG, CA, CIMA, CPA).
  2. Commercial and financial planning expertise
  3. Ability to operate at Board level but also be hands-on when required
  4. Effective project and operational management skills
  5. Fluent in English
  6. Minimum of 10-15 years experience with strong IFRS knowledge, of which 5-6 years should be in a similar position/responsibility, preferably in a similar industry.
  7. Experience in leading team(s).
  8. Up-to-date knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
  9. Ability to travel nationally and internationally
  10. Valid driving license, ID/Passport and Health Insurance
